This product was developed in order to have a simple light weight dhcp mechanism in a network. The server allows the administrator to assign ip addresses to the clients based on their mac addresses or a dynamic pool of addresses or both. The client and server were developed for demonstration purposes and thus are very verbose. However they can be altered to run as daemons if needed.
